Luxury Train Travel India: The Maharajas Express operates on 4 different Journeys (each with a unique name) across North, Central, and Western India. Guests have a choice to book from four different categories of Cabins & Suites. One circuit, Treasures of India, is for 3 nights & 4 Days; and the other three journeys comprise 6 nights each.
A journey on the Maharajas Express wouldn't be complete without visiting The Taj Mahal, embarking on a Jungle Safari in Ranthambhore's Tiger Reserve, and spending time with the colorfully decorated elephants in Jaipur. These iconic experiences are featured in all four journeys offered by this luxurious train.
The Maharajas Express Train is owned and operated by Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Cooperation. Both onboard and offboard services are outsourced to private enterprises, ensuring a consistent and supreme customer experience.
Luxury Train Travel India redefined with the Maharajas Express Train Cabin
The Maharaja Express has five passenger saloons, each with four Deluxe Cabins; six saloons with three Junior Suites each; two saloons with two Suites each; and one saloon for the grand ‘Presidential Suite’, all with ensuite bathrooms.
To ensure the utmost convenience and comfort during your journey, all passenger cabins come with individual temperature controls, LCD televisions, DVD players, direct-dial telephones, and internet, to name a few. With in-house movies and live television keeping you company when you return from your daily excusions. , it is truly a royal experience on Maharajas Express. Every cabin is also equipped with its own electronic safe deposit box.
All the cabins & public areas have large panoramic windows, and the train is designed to savor every bit of the pan-Indian journey. India Luxury Train Tour offers two fine-dining restaurants: Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal. With a seating capacity of 42 people at a time, these restaurants allow everyone on board to dine together. Wine and beer are served here, and dining comes complimentary, of course.
For those who love to ride with the spirits, we have on board the luxury train an exotic Safari bar that features the choicest collection of wines, beer and other spirits, with snacks that come complimentary to every passenger. Furthermore, there is also a lounge cum bar named 'Raja Club' that has comfortable seating with club armchairs. If these features don't excite you, the Maharajas Express also has a high-end boutique that features exquisite and unique creations.
